Orthodontic Treatment in Bahawalpur: Invisible Braces or Metal Braces?

Published · Dental Stories, Bahawalpur

Straightening teeth isn’t only about looks. Crowded teeth are harder to clean, and a bad bite can wear teeth unevenly. Dental Stories offers orthodontic treatment with both fixed braces and clear aligners, often called invisible braces. Neither is better for everyone.

How fixed braces work

Small brackets are bonded to the teeth and joined by a wire. The wire is adjusted at regular visits to move teeth gradually. Because they are fixed, braces work all day without you having to remember anything, and they can handle a wide range of tooth movements.

How clear aligners work

Aligners are a series of thin, transparent trays made to fit your teeth. Each set moves the teeth a small step, and you change to the next set on a schedule. They are hard to notice and you take them out to eat and brush.

The catch with aligners

Aligners only work while you wear them, which usually means around 20 to 22 hours a day. If they spend the afternoon in a pocket, treatment slows or goes off track. They also suit some kinds of tooth movement better than others.

Side by side

Retainers are not optional

With either method, teeth tend to drift back after treatment. A retainer keeps them in place, and wearing it as advised is part of the treatment, not an extra.
